Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Quynh Thien receives Thyssenkrupp Group

On the afternoon of September 20, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with the leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade and the Management Board of the local economic zone, had a meeting with the representatives of Thyssenkrupp Group to prepare for the construction of the "Green Hydro factory" project in Tra Vinh province.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien said that Tra Vinh had been calling for investment as it had an excellent potential for renewable energy. Many investors responded and had come to the area to research before investing, the most significant of which included the project of green hydrogen production.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the province was always cooperative and supportive towards investors to launch the project successfully. During the process, leaders of provincial and local departments and agencies have been assigned to further assist in implementing and developing the project.


Mr. Christopher Frank, the representative of Thyssenkrupp Group, Head of the delegation, highly appreciated the potential and investment environment in Tra Vinh. At the same time, he committed to the provincial leaders to implement the project with the approved plan. The goal is to develop a large-scale green hydrogen gas project in the province, compared to the whole country and the region.

Thyssenkrupp is a partner of The Green Solutions Group, which is currently implementing an investment project on a "Green Hydrogen factory" project in Tra Vinh province. It is a multinational corporation comprising multiple companies operating in industry and technology. The group currently has about 3,600 employees working in the fields of research and development at 78 locations worldwide, mainly in the areas of climate protection, energy transition, engineering transformation research, industry digitalization, and future volatility.


According to the plan, the "Green Hydrogen" production plant will be started construction in October this year at the K8 Mudflats, Dong Hai commune, Duyen Hai district.
